US based early childhood educator with over 10 years of hands-on experience working with young children. Every session is built on patience, encouragement and genuine care — because every child learns differently, moves at their own pace, and deserves to feel celebrated along the way. Not just when they get it right, but through every step of their journey.
Full payment is required at the time of booking. Sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. All sessions are non-refundable.
Free rescheduling is available with at least 24 hours notice via your confirmation email. Within 24 hours email soar@scottonscholars.com and we will do our best to help.
We allow a 10 minute grace period. After 10 minutes the session is marked as a no show, is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
If technical issues occur on our end we will reschedule at no charge. If technical difficulties occur on your end the session is considered complete and is non-refundable.
A device with a working camera, microphone and stable internet connection is required for all sessions. A tablet, laptop or desktop computer works best.
A parent or guardian must be present during all sessions for children ages 5 and under.
We want every session to be a positive experience. If a child is unable to participate or is persistently disruptive Ms. Shanteal reserves the right to end the session. The session will be considered complete and no refund will be issued.
Sessions are recorded by Scotton Scholars for safety purposes only. Recordings are stored securely, never shared with any third party and permanently deleted after 30 days. Participants may not record sessions under any circumstances. By booking a session you are providing written consent to this recording policy.

Scotton Scholars serves children from toddlers ages 1 through 2nd grade (ages 7–8). Our programs are specifically designed for each age group — from playful Circle Time for our youngest learners all the way through our Soaring Readers program for growing confident readers.
We offer three reading programs designed to meet your child exactly where they are. Rising Readers is a 30 minute session perfect for early readers building their foundation. Climbing Readers is a 45 minute session for readers who are ready to grow further. Soaring Readers is our most in depth 60 minute program for readers ready to advance to the next level. All three programs are wonderful options and there is no pressure to choose — we will always meet your child where they are. Not sure which is right for your child? Currently Scotton Scholars offers individual one on one virtual sessions to ensure every child receives focused, personalized attention from Ms. Shanteal. This allows us to tailor each session specifically to your child’s needs, pace and learning style.
